ʻŌlelo Noʻeau

A phrase meant to direct others to pitch in. As kanaka ‘ōiwi, our kupuna have always understood that it is by the success of the whole that we are able to thrive as individuals.

It is important to support each other and work toward betterment of the whole because our culture thrives on collaboration, on all of us paddling together. Whether it be sharing in work, knowledge, resources, take this proverb as not only pitching in to help others, but ensuring your own success as well. If you help the community paddle, you will move forward along with it.
